Missing smit.log

Environment

OS Level: AIX Version 4.1.4
Type/Model: 390

Problem

The smit.log from the system's last install is missing.

Solution

First look in root's home directory.

If smit.log is not there, log in as a user--for example, user1--and then su to root. The smit.log will be in user1's home directory.
