Removing lpp_source -- Error 0042-038

Environment

OS Level: AIX Version 4.1.5
Type/Model: c10

Problem

In an attempt to remove the lpp_source, the following error occurs: 

	0042-038 nim: unable to continue because lppsource1 is locked.

Solution

Execute the command: 

	lslpp -l lppsource1

Look for an alloc_count of 0. Then execute the following: 

	stopsrc -s nimesis
	startsrc -s nimesis

Then remove lppsource1.
