ASCII InfoExplorer Hangs When Accessing Program Menus

Problem

After entering info -a to bring up ASCII InfoExplorer and proceeding through the following menu options:

	Display
	Programming Reference
	Communication

After selecting Communication, InfoExplorer hangs. Additionally, if you hit the enter or tab key, it indicates a core dump. However, you cannot find a core file.

Solution

To correct this problem, enter the following:

	v $HOME/info $HOME/info.orig
	export MALLOCTYPE=3.1
	info -a
