IBM HTTP Server Will Not Configure at 1.3.6

Environment

OS Level: AIX 4.3

Problem

When you attempt to configure the IBM HTTP Server at 1.3.6.x using smitty web_configure, it fails with the following error:

	Cannot find the directory /usr/lpp/HTTPServer

Solution

The following is an output of the SMIT/smitty screen in question:

                      Change Local Documentation and Search Server

Type or select values in entry fields.
Press Enter AFTER making all desired changes.
                                                      [Entry Fields]
  Web server SOFTWARE                                 HTTP Server web server in default location
* Local web server PORT number                        [80]
* Local web server cgi-bin DIRECTORY                  /usr/HTTPServer/cgi-bin
* Local web server HTML document directory            /usr/HTTPServer/htdocs
* For versions prior to 1.3.6.0, Auto-start           Yes
  server if not already running

NOTE: If this is the first time the IBM HTTP Server is being installed on the machine it must be set to NO. Reset the option to NO, press enter, and the Web server will configure successfully.
